With a few hiccups and login issues, the Fall festival launched today, and it will stay in the game till Nov 2nd.
To those who are here only since the course, this will be the first opportunity for enjoying Bilbo's Haunted Burrow! ("haunted" by hobbit terms, so be prepared for everything, from strange drinks to hobbits in skeleton costume...) It has a nice backstory too, just talk with Lobelia about it :)

There are new cosmetics added for this year, looks pretty good, same goes for the new horse.

Also worth mentioning, it's a great time for those who want some fast advancement, the Haunted Burrow is probably the most generous xp-giving event among the festivals: without an xp-disabler stone one can easily advance a couple of levels during this 2 weeks by simply from a 15-20 minutes Burrow fun on each day. Without any combat or other difficulties, just by strolling around inside.
Of course you need to be familiar with the layout, during the first few times don't expect to even find your way out in 15 minutes :) Bilbo put in there shortcuts, tricky doors, traps, etc. (you can find a nice map on Goldenstar's page, if all else fails)

An advice: don't forget to test your luck on the poorly hidden chest in the basement, you can open it once every day, it has a (fairly low) chance to drop the Skeleton painted steed - the only way to earn him. No kidding, the name doesn't lie, the chest is very poorly hidden. Also it gives you consumable emotes, sometimes outfits (cloaks, masks), and festival tokens too.

I plan to be there quite frequently with Ser, since this is his first Fall festival (and I already have the new stuff on my main).
Have fun, everyone, see you in the Burrow :)

Thank you Sera.

I went in the Burrow tonight and found 2 of the 5 or six things. Got completely lost but had great fun. Thanks for the map although it is still tricky to find your way around in there with it.

I would love to add events that last for more than one day but there is no option, is it possible to set that up?

To be honest, I tried but haven't found the option either, that's why I made a forum post instead...

Ama, it's not tough at all after you're familiar with the layout. There's the Main cellar, and there are 4 (+1) wings which you can access. The +1 is not important, that's the link between the Haunted Burrow and Bag End, it only contains 3 boxes with hourly cooldown, a nice resting place for the characters who have all other quests finished for the day, but want to get some more tokens every hour. Sometimes there's an ad-hoc concert too :)

The four wings have a similar setting: you enter, complete your goal (find an item, use an item, talk to a scared hobbit, drink a potion) and then try to leave. You can't leave through the door you've entered, there are 3 other doors in the wing (or 2 in case of attic, that's not part of the potion drinking quest), a "real" exit, a fake exit (which puts you back at the same wing), and a "riddle" one (which you can only use during the potion drinking quest).

To make it more complicated, 3 wings are "chained". If you check the map (or explore it on yourself), Cobwebbed wing's real exit puts you in Creeping, that one's real exit puts you in the basement. It can cause a real pain in the butt during the timed quests, when you miss the order or enter the wrong wing accidentally... On the other hand it helps you run through the whole Burrow quickly, if you follow the chain:
After entering the Main cellar, turn right and go up to the attic, it drops you out to the attic entrance. From there only a few steps is the Cobwebbed door, that wing drops you to Creeping, that leads to the basement, and then you can turn left and run out downwards from the Burrow. Quick and easy :)

Celdge - I can't find a way to do this, maybe Tad knows.
Sera - I am getting faster.

I am terrible at the Haunted Burrow. I went in there last year and never came out, I'm pretty sure!

If anyone has any extra tokens they'd like to spend on kin things, we need the maps from this festival to complete our collection. Also, a table of beer and sausages would be nice, and maybe some other furniture decorations. As always, cosmetics are great for the kin chest as well as making good prizes for the games we will likely have in January/February.

I'll be working on earning some of this! Maybe we'll see some of each other in game.

haha I am bad with it, too....I spent literally thousands of hours in that Burrow last year....but I will try my best to get something for our kinship house.

I also carry around stuff for the chests...I did not get to clear my vault and bags in weeks....

I will keep my tokens until the end. I can get whatever cosmetics are outstanding.
I have bought the sausage and pretzels table.

It's Fall again, a great opportunity for Tad getting lost again in the Burrow :D
I'm a bit flooded atm, but will try to jump in sometimes, getting at least the new stuff they added this year.
