Farmer's Faire launched yesterday. One of my favourite events (and maybe Knit's too, since this is the only chance where we can earn the title: Amazing Angler :) sadly it's pure luck-based, and the attempt is on a 24hours cooldown).

So if you want some fun, slapping hobbits, running errands, getting drunk or just fishing a lot, here's the chance. Not much new items from last year, but to those who are newcomer, it still offers a wide selection of cosmetic outfits, titles - and also free horses.
Plus a lot of quick free xp, so if you don't want to over-level your actual questing area (some likes the challenge) then put the xp-disabler stone in your pocket, Farmer's Faire is giving out a truckload of xp just for running around and having fun.

A bit offtopic, great videos, Ama! Eggsellent work :) (it's a title you can earn during the Faire...)
Probably I should dust off my early draft about roles and trinity, and put it up too for the next course.
Offtopic 2: three more hours and we'll see our grades, fingers crossed :)

I love all these faires and events. The only difficulty is choice - which steed to choose and which cosmetic outfit :) - I don;t want a donkey face - my only certainty so far :)
Glad you liked the video. I've done another one on cosmetic outfits and dressing room.
I'm going to continue the beginner video with the introduction once I have some time.

Saw that one too, that's why I wrote videoS :) (I just couldn't comment it there, because you created it as a locked thread.)

Same with Perizota's riding skill post, I'd put a note to the Ama note, but it's locked :)
That's a great purchase for students on an f2p account - practically most students newcomer in LotRO - because it not only gives the horse and the 4th bag, but also removes the gold cap (a very useful thing) and upgrades the account into Premium, with the option to sell things on the Auction House, and 3 character slots (so basically you get a free character slot from the Samwise Gamgee pack).

They used to say, if you don't mind to spend some money onto the game but don't want the "clutches" of a subscription, the Gamgee pack is the best pick you can spend a few Euros on.

Not wanting to start a new thread, since it's just a note: there's an expansion / quest pack sale this week, with many nice deals.
While I know f2p players are not necessarily have lots of Turbine Points at hand, I'd like to put some emphasis at least on Trollshaws, with a 75% sale for 149 TP. That's maybe a reachable amount, and a well-worthy purchase...

Even with simply playing it through you can earn 50-60TP back from the finished quest and exploration deeds, with the option to earn cca. 150 more with finishing every deed, so the quest pack "pays itself" (or just play it through with a second character :) )

Also Trollshaws have some really great quests. There's Rivendell, with the Fellowship and Bilbo (and his riddle game), there's Gollum, there's the search for Bilbo's trolls, retrieving Arwen's heritage, the friendly giant, etc.

If you have a disposable 149TP, (and even moreso if you're in the mid-30s level) I'd say grab Trollshaws :)
(and if you have more, Angmar for 50% is a nice deal too, and the expansions as well)

edit: to be a bit on-topic, the Farmer's Faire is almost over, but right after that Bilbo's birthday week will start. It used to be great fun, was revamped last year, I'm curious which version will we receive now :) both are nice. There will be a play too, I plan to attend and watch it.

Just blowing the dust off of this thread, since a year's passed and Farmer's Faire is here again. Pretty much all applies what's in the opening post, even the not much new items part, since just a robe and a backpack full of farmer goods were added onto the list - but if you want to grab the dress Celge used to wear on kinship events, go and play some Faire fun :D
