Here is mine:

"Steamquest" is a steampunk themed MMO based on "Ithaca" and "Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came". However, there is not so much of a remediation of distinctive elements or scenes from the poems but I implemented ideas and single features (like the cripple).
I set up a concept in form of notes (yes, notes! no long essay!) and added some illustrations. Please note that I am not an uber-skilled drawer...they are just humble attempts to visualise my mind.
You find the graphics implemented into the pdf and a link to my deviantART gallery where you can view the drawings in better quality and bigger sized.

I hope you enjoy! (Link does not work with mobile phones!)

I tried to remediate Childe Roland using screenshots taken from various locations in Second Life as a kind of storyboard. This used some of the concepts in the poem, but interpreted as a game to rescue Lady Sanity from the Dark Tower, exploring the poem as a metaphor for a mental disorder. Various parameters alter with the various encounters, and the player would have to try to keep everything in balance throughout in order to a) gain the slug-horn and b) get to the Tower, i.e. not permitting the balance of his/her mind to be disturbed!

Anyway, there is a virtual Dark Tower (purchased, not my design I regret to say) on an island I used to manage in Second Life, by kind permission of the current estate managers. It may be visited if you have an SL avatar at
I'm delighted to say that one of the current builders there has already explored it and thoroughly enjoyed adventure!

All the best!

Great one Rodney, it's good to see a completed module (I too planned to build the assignment in the Foundry, but then went with the essay instead... /me lazy). Loved the ghosts, especially Giles, also the cripple's post-dialogue emote was cool :)

My second character in Neverwinter was a GF, after watching your gameplay I can't wait to go back and play with him again, it was a long time I ditched him for more action-y characters...

(as I noticed you haven't used the shield much, not even for the red attacks, your guard meter was full during the whole module - I guess GF is not one of your main classes? :) based on how you tried to dodge out of harm's way sometimes)

Actually I do have a GF, it's my second character there, but I haven't played him much recently... Normally I use the shield a LOT more but I was so busy concentrating on the voiceover I wasn't spending a lot of time on skill use :-)

But well spotted sir! If you ever feel like partying up in Neverwinter, Friend me there, I'm @rodney418
